ENRESA has entrusted another project to INDECID, on this occasion a contract for "Engineering services for activities related to Individualized Temporary Storage at the José Cabrera Nuclear Facility".

The service includes engineering activities to comply with the Nuclear Safety Council's safety and radiation protection conditions, to keep the facility’s operations safe, and to prepare and adapt the site for future operation as an independent nuclear facility. INGECID will carry out regular safety reviews on the Individualized Temporary Storage facility, undertake activities associated with recoverability and life management, and implement design modifications for the future operation of the Individualized Temporary Storage facility as an independent nuclear facility.

The five-year project involves specialists in different disciplines such as radiation protection, civil-structural, mechanical and electrical engineering, safety and licensing, instrumentation and control, physical safety and BIM coordination. The INGECID team's multidisciplinary approach is key to the success of the project.
