Engineering services for the ATI at the José Cabrera Nuclear Facility

ENRESA trusted INGECID with the execution of the contract for “Engineering services for activities related to the ATI of the José Cabrera Nuclear Facility.” The scope of the service included various engineering activities aimed at ensuring compliance with the safety and radiation protection conditions established by the Nuclear Safety Council, maintaining the safe operation of the facility, and preparing it for future operation as an independent nuclear facility. The planned actions included the Periodic Safety Review of the ATI, the development of activities associated with recoverability and life management, as well as the design modifications necessary for the future operation of the ATI as an independent nuclear facility.

The project involved the coordinated participation of specialists in various disciplines—radiation protection, civil and structural engineering, mechanics, safety and licensing, electrical engineering, instrumentation and control, physical security, and BIM coordination. This multidisciplinary approach, characteristic of the INGECID team, is essential to ensuring compliance with the project's technical and regulatory objectives, guaranteeing safety, efficiency, and rigor in all phases of its development.
