INGECID has carried out the comprehensive digitalization of the Campo Dalías desalination plant infrastructure, with the goal of optimizing its management during the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) phase. This project, developed within the field of hydraulic infrastructure, aligns with the AIM (Asset Information Model) strategy, focused on maximizing operational efficiency through digital models.
The digitalization process was structured around three main areas: 3D scanning of the existing plant, modeling of assets and facilities, and integration of the resulting model into a Common Data Environment (CDE) for operation. Our solution provides operators with a centralized digital platform that enables access to technical information, query execution, maintenance planning, and automated documentation generation.
This project enables more accurate, safe, and sustainable infrastructure management, providing an up-to-date and fully functional digital twin as a key support tool throughout the plant’s life cycle.
