The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda’s Directorate-General for Roads (DGC) has awarded INGECID the "Pilot project for implementing BIM methodology in DGC planning and construction phases". The main aim of the pilot is to define guidelines for the process.

The project selected is the "Construction project to increase the capacity of the Polanco-Santander section of the A-67 highway in Cantabria". A comparative analysis will be carried out of a BIM and a traditional project, with the aim of learning from the experience and compiling information that can be extrapolated to future DGC projects.

INGECID will contribute its experience of applying the BIM methodology to this type of infrastructure and the project documentation will be managed in the VIRCORE common data environment (CDE).

Great news for INGECID and VIRCORE, and congratulations to our BIM team for reaching this new milestone!
