INGECID has taken part in today’s "BIM methodology applied to public procurement” conference at the University of the Basque Country's School of Engineering.

This is the second of the five BIM conferences organized by the Spanish College of Public Works Engineers (CITOP) and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, with the aim of developing practical knowledge by sharing the experiences of BIM professionals.

Jesús de Paz, director of INGECID’s Design and BIM engineering department shared his experience of the Spanish Government’s BIM Plan and its strategy for implementing it, with the first milestone due next April.

It was a most interesting session, with talks by other experts on the drafting of BIM pre-execution and execution plans (pre-BEP and BEP) for projects and works.
