The project “Novel substructure and installation process in deep waters to reduce the cost of offshore wind energy”, SÍ100, has been selected from more than a hundred entries in the CDTI Missions 2021 call for proposals to be funded by the European Union-NextGenerationEU, through the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
The main objective of the SÍ100 project is the research and development of new offshore structures for high-power wind turbines (up to 20 MW) at great depths (between 60 and 100 meters), which will reduce the current cost of energy and facilitate the opening of the wind power market at depths greater than 50 meters.
This project is a great innovation worldwide and will be developed by INGECID together with the ISATI, TETRACE and NABRAWIND companies as well as the University of Cantabria, IHCantabria and the CIDAUT Foundation.
