Advanced digitization of transport infrastructure in the Community of Madrid

The joint venture formed by INGECID, GEOCONSULT, and EIS-GUIA was awarded the service contract for the preparation of additional studies, technical review, and modeling of the facilities for the projects promoted by the Directorate General of Public Transport Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid.

With a duration of 36 months and a base budget of €2.87 million, this project reinforces our commitment to innovation and efficiency in the development of strategic infrastructure.

The objective of the contract was to optimize and technically improve transport infrastructure projects using BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Within this framework, the work carried out included:

• Technical review of construction projects, ensuring technical feasibility and regulatory compliance.
• Carrying out additional studies, with specific reports on noise, vibration, traffic, the environment and cultural heritage.
• BIM modeling of key facilities, including stations, depots and certain ventilation shafts to improve infrastructure management and maintenance.
• Assessment of environmental and urban impacts to facilitate sustainable planning that meets legal requirements.

This project will be managed using the VIRCORE common data environment (CDE), which will enable centralized information management, optimizing decision-making at each stage of the project.
