The INGECID Innova Chair has been set up to enable the academic and professional worlds to work together to foster innovation, research and development in engineering and construction.

Our commitment is clear: to support young talent, to encourage projects that bring about real change and to contribute to the advancement of sustainable technological solutions in the sector, setting up and promoting scholarships, awards, training, research projects and other initiatives.

The signing ceremony took place yesterday and was attended by the rector of the UC, Ángel Pazos and the CEO of INGECID, Jokin Rico Arenal, together with the director of the university’s School of Civil Engineering, Daniel Castro Fresno, professor emeritus Francisco Ballester Muñoz, the vice-rector of Research and Scientific Policy, Carlos Beltrán, and the vice-rector of Knowledge Transfer and Entrepreneurship, Daniel Pérez López.

The creation of the INGECID Innova Chair strengthens our long-standing commitment to the University and academia, with the aim of promoting innovation, training and the development of technological solutions that transform the engineering and construction sector.
