Within the framework of the contract for "Services for the preparation of reports and studies of regulations and operational experience outside Enresa in the decommissioning of Nuclear Power Plants", INGECID is analyzing international experience in the decommissioning of Nuclear Power Plants to generate knowledge that will help improve decommissioning processes in Spain. The report will identify legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as guidelines, recommendations and other technical publications on aspects related to nuclear safety, radiation protection and radioactive waste management, both nationally and internationally. It will also analyze the applicability of nuclear power plant decommissioning and restoration projects to Spanish cases. This contract, which will extend INGECID's experience in the nuclear field, will help to ensure that plant decommissioning projects are carried out safely and efficiently.
