The eighth Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste Management Summit, organized by ACI (Active Communications International), took place in London on February 23 and 24. The event brings together professionals from different parts of the nuclear sector, including energy suppliers, plant owners and operators, industry experts and investors from the nuclear industry.

INGECID is once again committed to promoting these initiatives, supporting and sponsoring the event, where attendees updated their knowledge of new developments in the decommissioning of nuclear power plants and waste management. The event is also an opportunity to make contact with leading figures in the nuclear industry and learn about the latest changes in the sector.

INGECID was represented by Jesús de Paz, Director of the Design Engineering and BIM Department, and Javier Alonso, Director of the Nuclear Engineering Department, who gave a presentation on "New Digitalisation Tools for Nuclear Decommissioning and Waste Management”. Their talk focused on the BIM methodology applied to the decommissioning of nuclear power plants and waste management and on the Vircore platform for these operations.
