
The joint venture formed by INGECID, DEGREE OF FREEDOM and A-INGENIA has been awarded a 15-month contract for site management, technical assistance and health and safety coordination services for the "Project to construct the Quisi Viaduct in the Calp-Teulada section of line 9 of the Alicante TRAM network". The tender process, in which a total of 5 bids were submitted, was managed by Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV).
The restoration work carried out by FGV on the current Quisi viaduct, built between 1913 and 1915 on the line linking Alicante and Dénia, has allowed it to remain open for the circulation of trains. The Generalitat is planning investment to renovate the track and modify the viaduct and infrastructures to maintain the quality of service and bring the line up to the quality standards of the rest of the FGV network in Alicante.
These measures are being carried out on Line 9 (Benidorm-Denia) of the Alicante TRAM system in order to fully modernized it. The services contracted include site management, technical assistance and health and safety coordination services for construction work on the Quisi Viaduct in the Calp-Teulada section of line 9, as well as technical office support, including the implementation, monitoring and updating of the BIM execution plan. FGV has adopted BIM methodology for the drafting and execution of work under this contract and is committed to continuing to use this methodology throughout the life cycle of the infrastructure.
The works are located on Line 9 of the FGV TRAM network within the municipality of Benissa (Alicante), with a material execution budget of €8,354,262.37 and a duration of 12 months. The project involves the construction of 700 meters of meter-gauge track, including a new post-tensioned viaduct with a total length of 370 meters.
