The new branches of the Kukularra junction opened to traffic today, December 17, 2021. INGECID is very proud to have played a part in this project.

The 26-month project, with an investment of about €11 million, will alleviate the road safety and congestion problems caused by the merging of vehicles from La Avanzada and Rontegi in the Txorierri corridor. To view the news item click here.

Since the beginning of the project INGECID’s contribution has focused on the implementation of BIM methodology to ensure work proceeds correctly. To facilitate cooperation, which is fundamental to the project, the Vircore common data environment (CDE) has been implemented. BIM was used as envisaged in the BIM Execution Plan, the identification and resolution of possible interferences being prioritized at all times to speed up decision-making during the construction process and facilitate the monitoring of the project through the development of a progressive “as-built” model. Through the exploitation of the models rendering and the production of videos have been made possible, as in the press release accessible via the link above.

Thanks to the proactivity and motivation of all the participants in the project, an ecosystem has been developed and we are very satisfied to see that our efforts have helped the work to go forward successfully.
